About this property

Historic charm, modern comforts, killer location and a garage(!) all wrapped into one Marigny Triangle home. Built in 1848 as a triple Creole cottage, an 18-month renovation went down to the studs and brought the home back to beautiful life without compromise. New moldings and trim were custom-milled to match the styles of the neighborhood's original mid-1800s homes, while three original entry staircases and a spiraling three-sided brick fireplace remain as centerpieces. The result is a home that feels historic and lives new: light-filled double parlors, a chef's kitchen with custom cabinetry and professional-grade appliances, and a main-floor primary suite with a walk-in closet and beautiful five-piece bath. **** The attached guest cottage, with its own entrance, full bath, wet bar, and courtyard access, lives as a comfy den/TV room day to day and converts easily to a private guest suite with a Murphy bed - a flexible layout that's consistently enjoyed without space that goes to waste. The upstairs bedroom suite also has a built-in, queen size trundle bed, allowing it to double as an office and a guest suite, if preferred. **** This home also comes with something exceptionally rare: an attached, oversized one-car garage. A recently installed, certified fortified roof has resulted in significant savings on insurance premiums, and the landscaped courtyard offers outdoor living that's easy to maintain. All of this sits one block from the French Quarter and only a few more to the music clubs of Frenchmen Street and historic Tremé.
