Peggy Voorhies

Peggy Voorhies has called Acadiana home for more than 30 years. A native of Texas, she was born in Waco and raised in Fort Worth, where she met her husband, Lafayette native Clayton (Jay) Voorhies. Peggy and Jay married and moved to Lafayette in 1989 and have raised their family here.

Peggy joined the family restaurant business, Gator Cove, where she fell in love with catering and weddings because they let her be part of the most special moments in people’s lives. She spent 32 years in the service industry, where she found her passion for helping people: taking your ideas and making them happen while taking the worry and stress away.
